This degree of Usui Reiki is basic and is suitable for everyone and consists of:

- Meditation.
- The Reiki story and principles.
- Attunement
- Self-treatment practice

An individual Usui Reiki session is 1½ hours.
(For healing purposes a set of treatments would normally be recommended.)
